Hello! Welcome to Mayhem's Music Business Blog! I'm Meghan Chrobot, a music business major at Anderson University. If you're wondering where the name "Mayhem" comes from, it's a nickname my high school marching band came up with for me while I was on vacation and they were at band camp and it's stuck ever since.

I am dedicating this blog to keeping up with current events in the music industry. I've had an unhealthy obsession with the music industry for as long as I remember. It's one of the few passions that I've had that have stuck for more than just a few years. Ever since I was 7 or 8, I've been able to name more popular songs and artists than most of my friends and I've always been the person other people go to for pop culture related questions. I can probably tell you more about my favorite bands than I can tell you about myself.

I play clarinet at Anderson University and have been playing since 7th grade. other than that, I don't play any other instruments proficiently. I play a bit of piano and ukulele, but not very well. With that in mind, i don't really have any interest in becoming a performer myself but I want to keep using my passion for the industry as a career. I hope to become either an artist manager, R&A agent, tour manager, music journalist when I graduate.

I just want to thank you all for visiting my blog! I'm very new to this "I have my own website" thing so i know it's not perfect. I appreciate you taking time to read about my opinions on current music industry events! There are so many other things you could be reading or doing right now, but you chose to visit my blog and I will always have that in mind. I hope you enjoy my posts!
